At Naturyu Wellness Coaching, I often tell my clients: if your body is the garden, water is the sunlight. Without it, nothing thrives.


🧠 Why Hydration is Essential

Our bodies are made up of roughly 75% water. Every system, organ, and cell relies on it to function. Here’s just a glimpse of what water does for you:

  • Boosts energy by helping deliver nutrients to your cells

  • Supports digestion and prevents constipation

  • Flushes out toxins through urine and sweat

  • Keeps joints and muscles lubricated

  • Improves brain function and concentration

  • Maintains healthy skin and regulates body temperature

Even mild dehydration can lead to fatigue, headaches, irritability, and poor focus. So if you’ve been feeling “off,” try this simple question first: Am I drinking enough water?


💡 How Much Water Do You Really Need?

The old advice of “8 glasses a day” is a decent starting point, but hydration needs vary based on your body size, activity level, climate, and diet. A good general rule: aim for half your body weight in ounces per day (e.g., if you weigh 160 lbs, aim for 80 oz/day).

You may need more if:

  • You exercise regularly

  • You drink coffee or alcohol (which can dehydrate)

  • You eat a high-sodium or low-water-content diet


🌿 Tips to Stay Hydrated Throughout the Day

  • Start your morning with a glass of warm lemon water

  • Carry a reusable water bottle with you

  • Add fresh fruits, herbs, or cucumbers to make it more flavorful

  • Drink before you feel thirsty—thirst means you're already behind

  • Track your intake with an app or journal if needed
